Are you thinking of how to get out of a rat race you’ve got yourself into? You are not able to meet up with the harsh economic conditions of the country, food prices sky-rocketing worldwide, continued high cost of living everywhere and all you do is clamour for pay raise. In my opinion, that wouldn’t get you anywhere.
What you need do is start your own business today or at most this week! “What? Start my own business? I never thought about starting my own business. Even if I did, I don’t have money. Who’s going to lend me money to start my own business?”
You don’t need to have a lot of money to start your own business. Many entrepreneurs began very small starting a small business from inside their garages or on top of their kitchen tables and have built them into huge multi-million and billion dollar companies.
Open your eyes to opportunities around you. A story was told of two Americans who went to India. They saw people walking bare-footed. One told the other, “look at the level of poverty!” The other saw differently. He saw a shoe factory. He went back home, started a shoe factory and exported shoes to India. He became a multi-billionaire. While the other saw poverty, he saw opportunity. You may not have the capital to start a factory but you could start something.
Starting a home-based business is, in my opinion, the easiest and quickest legal way I know of making money. The start-up cost are very small and the potential for quick profits are amazing – within reason!
It is still a business and requires time and effort. For someone who has never done it before, it will require a learning period and some trial and error much, much less than most other businesses but it is still a requirement just the same. With the help of a sincere person who’s an expert in the field of the business you want to start, your trial and error will be eliminated.
You can start your own home-based business with the help of a company. The benefit of using an existing system is, they give you a guideline that you can follow or modify and make it your own. It gives you a good starting point – form of road-map. This is where prepackaged home based businesses come in. These are programs that have been created to eliminate some of the guess work out of trying to start something from scratch.
Which one of these programs work? Are you really able to make the kind of money that they claim in their advertisements or sales pitch? Yes, if you get a good company, supportive team and you are committed to making the system work for you, stick with them.
Then Remember, The Customer is King.
Business owners, marketers should know that the customer is “always” right because perception is the reality and the customer is the sole judge of that.
Your customer is just as busy as you are, feels just like you and wishes for the same clarity and simplicity. Give it to him.
You are tired of all the confusion. You’re tired of all the advertising claims, the boasting, the sales pitches, the bragging, the promises, the clattering and clamouring for attention. So is your customer.
Acknowledge that your competition is quite possibly just as skilled and professional, and as much of an expert, as you are. Do you think the customer will choose your business over your competition’s because you proudly state, “we are more educated, smarter and more professional than they are!?”
Many businesses take the annoying position of boasting and bragging. Consequently, few customers believe it. “Everyone says that!” they reason. I’ve reasoned that way many times myself. People hate braggarts.
So how should it be done? Let your customer know that you and your business exist for one reason and one reason alone: to make the customers’ dreams come true – because, my friend, that’s all they want. Furthermore, that’s all you want. That’s it. Get their emotions. Your emotions are stronger that your logic.
Do emotions and fulfilment of dreams have that much power over human beings? Absolutely. You hold proof in your own life. Is the way you care for your loved ones emotional or logical? If it is logical, then why do you tolerate all the mistakes they make time after time? Why do you forgive their behaviour and care for them anyway? You do that because your emotions are much stronger than your logic.
So your goal is to make your customer feel emotional about what you’re offering. Let them fall in love with your products or services. Let them know what benefit they’re going to derive by patronising you and what they’re going to miss if they don’t. Once they’ve convinced themselves that they’re lucky to have come across your product or they’re going to miss if they don’t buy, they’re eagerly going to buy.
People generally don’t want to be sold on anything. They want to feel that they’re the ones buying and not someone trying to sell them. And to make matters worse, you irritate them when you brag about your product or service.
