Many people want to make money online from home as a means to supplement or replace their main source of income. But many come online with the benefit mentality hoping to literally pluck money from the internet without having to do any serious work. I’d like to start this article by saying:
– There’s no such thing as money for little or no work – there’s no Santa Claus on the internet. Everyone is on the internet to make money. No one is helping you at his own expense – there’s always a catch! At best he/she may not cheating you but others are out there to milk you dry.
– Making money online from home requires focus, hard work, stickability and persistence.
– You save a lot of money when you seek and get proper guidance.
Don’t get too excited
The last thing I want to do is to get you excited only to get disappointed at the end. I don’t offer short-cuts and work-around to riches. I’m here to show you what really works on the internet and help you develop the discipline and determination you need to succeed with them. I repeat, this is not a get-rich-quick recipe. I don’t go for the one big play. Rather my philosophy of success is one in which you methodically slug it out, stick to the game plan, think winning thoughts, and execute! Execute! Execute! Again this business might not be for everyone. Let me give you some stories.
I like trying a lot of things. A while ago, I went for e-mail processing. Something I’d seen time and again. You needed to see the advert, ‘Make $15-$30 for each e-mail processed, bla-bla’ and what would you think? You’ll get to register with some companies that would be sending you e-mails to process for them, right? Wrong! And that was what the sales letter virtually implied. So I went ahead to make the payment to download their report, e-book or whatever you call it.
And what did I get? The e-mail processing job was nothing more than the e-mail aspect of the internet business I was already doing! I wasn’t surprised because I as much thought it was another of the ‘gurus’ pranks. I only went for it to confirm it and since it was only about $10, I could risk it.
There was nothing new in the whole report save for some new sites I could advertise my business on which I could as well have gotten on my own if I searched on google. They said one would need to register with some sites like clickbank who would give you a link to promote and you’ll do that through e-mail. When someone you sent the e-mail to bought the product, you would have successfully processed that e-mail.
What rubbish! Most times these people don’t make money doing what they are teaching you but by selling you the information. The “gurus” make their money by charging you huge amount of money to attend their seminars and not by selling online themselves.
How many times have you seen sales letters claiming that the person earns thousands of dollars and that they were out to help people like you. They would have given you the info free if not for the fact that people don’t value things they got free hence they will be charging you $97(cancelled), $67(cancelled), $27(cancelled) $9.98 for today.
Yes for only $9.98 today, you’ll get all the info you needed to start making money online from home the next minute. The price goes back to $97 tomorrow! Does this sound familiar? Well this is where they make their money not on the info they are giving you which you would have even got free somewhere else.
Pay attention to the next statement I’m going to make.
Most people who really make money online give their info on how they do it free and most of those who sell to others how they make their money actually don’t make money from such systems.
Any program that would not be explained to you how it works so you could make an informed judgment on its workability but claims to be a secret that would only be revealed when payment is made is not worth your time. Leave them to their secrets. Let them use the secrets themselves to make all the money. They don’t need your little $10. Or what do you think?
A bitter experience
Let me narrate one other experience I had. A friend told me how he invested 50k with some forex traders (wonder banks) that sprang up everywhere some years ago. He got his 100% returns in 28 working days. He returned the 100k for another trading and he was expecting his returns shortly though it was delayed. They had increased the maturity time to 38 working days. I was all the same excited. 100% returns in 38 working days wasn’t a bad idea. So I sold some shares and put my money for trading. This is 10 years, I’ve not seen anything. In fact they closed their office and were nowhere to be found again. How many of you were victims of the wonder banks?
What am I getting at? If you go for ‘easy’ ways of making money online from home, you will only lose your money. I spent between 5-20k or more and about 4 months before I ever started making money online. Not so exciting right? Well that’s exactly what I want to do here. I don’t want to excite you only for you to find out later that it requires hard work. I want you to know from day one that to succeed with internet business, you need to learn and work hard.
My reason for spending so much was that I ventured into the game blindly and there were too many hungry sharks that where waiting to devour every newbie like me. I had no one to guide me. They few ones I got where from the US and they were not in the picture of the challenges of running an internet business from a third world country. They wouldn’t understand why I didn’t have a paypal account and so forth. But with my guidance, you’ll only pay for what you need to pay for, and no payment would be made to me anyway. The hungry sharks are still out only that they’re even more hungry and angry that people like me are exposing them.
I came across something in the Bible during a study.
“Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity, but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty. Wealth created by a lying tongue is a vanishing mist and a deadly trap” Proverbs 21:5, 6.
How true! I wanted to take a hasty shortcut to riches: 100% returns in 28 working days and what happened? I got burnt. I lost 60k in one day. Highway to poverty indeed!
Some people become intent on making a change but then go about it the wrong way. Instead of working steady toward progress, they seek to make colossal jumps, which virtually guarantee failure. You’ve tried making money online from home the ‘lazy man’s way, it’s now time to try the ‘hard work’ way. You can’t get rich with any ‘get rich quick’ program. You will only lose your hard earned money to the schemers who also will be discovered in no time.
Have you lost so much money that you fear committing yourself to something new? Some fear should be respected as it can keep you from real danger. But just be sure your fears are not irrational so that you’re not kept from doing things differently when the need arises.
